The CSE Global Hub for CSE Advocacy is an outcome on the demand expressed frequently by activists in the field of CSE and SRHR. It aims to:
- empower experts and activists working in the field with an adequate information; and
- to serve as platform of exchanging good practices and relevant country data
The structure of the platform is based on wide taken need assessment and stakeholder’s interviews and it has unique design as the first Social Media specially dedicated to advocacy on CSE and SRHR! Furthermore it is a response to the recent data published by All In Data (initiative of UN agencies):
- More than 40% of the world’s population is under the age of 25;
- Young people account for almost 50 per cent of new HIV infections;
- Worldwide, more than 15 million girls from 15 to 19 years old give birth every year;
- Every hour 29 adolescents (15-19 years old) are infected with HIV;
- Globally, only 34%of young people can demonstrate accurate knowledge about HIV prevention and transmission;
- Only 26% of girls and 33% of boys have full understanding of how HIV is transmitted and can be prevented;
Thus the CSE Online Hub aims to provide a platform for effective advocacy strategy related processes for both youth advocates and professionals in the field of CSE and beyond.
